Charging Stations Give Travelers the Option to Recharge Mobile Phones, Laptops and Other Electronic Devices for FREE
RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile) today announced the installation of 22 charging stations at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). Out of the 22 charging stations, 18 of the 8-1/2-foot-tall stations have been installed inside Lindbergh Terminal Concourses A, B, C, D, E and F, along with four additional stations located in the Humphrey Terminal.
"Holiday travel can be stressful, especially when you battery runs out before you can call or email your loved ones," said Bill Ogle, Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung Mobile. "We hope the Samsung Mobile Charging Stations will make traveling more enjoyable for everyone this holiday weekend."
Samsung Mobile Charging Stations include four outlets per station, allowing several travelers to re-charge their electronic devices at the same time for free. The charging stations are built to charge personal electronics designed for U.S. voltage (i.e., 120 volts), and are also equipped with a small shelf to hold travelers' mobile phones and other electronic equipment.
"The new charging stations will help meet a growing number of travelers needs. As we have opened new restaurants and renovated food courts, we have integrated power outlets into the seating-area design," said Jeff Hamiel, Executive Director of the Metropolitan Airports Commission. "The new Samsung Mobile Charging Stations extend that service into gate areas at MSP, making it easier for travelers to recharge laptops, cell phones and other electronic devices there as well."
Samsung Mobile has installed charging stations at some of the nation's largest airports, including 54 stations at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), 51 stations at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), 12 stations at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and 18 stations at Orlando International Airport (MCO), along with eight Samsung Mobile Travel Centers at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
