CoPilot Live comes to the HTC Diamond

Software will make the most of the Diamond's built-in GPS and internet capabilities

ALK Technologies has announced that they are to introduce a special edition of their CoPilot Live 7 software for the HTC Touch Diamond. With the Diamond's built-in GPS receiver, bright VGA colour screen and 4GB of internal memory, CoPilot Live 7 will provide seven digit UK postcode entry, voice guidance and automatic route calculation. Users will also be able to choose between 2D and 3D map views, while a driving safety mode can be used that will only display a map close to a turn.

Drivers will also be alerted to safety cameras, while updates will be available for free from the CoPilot Live web site. An optional live tracking service is also available which will display your location on the web, with other users able to send you messages and recommend you new stops, though as this service will be using the Diamond's internet, data rates may apply.

CoPilot Live 7 will be available on DVD for £65 from the end of July, from Amazon.co.uk, http://www.copilotlive.com/ and from CoPilot Live dealers.
