Mophie on Monday introduced the "Juice Pack 3G" battery extender for Apple's iPhone 3G. It comes pre-charged with enough electricity to double an iPhone 3G's battery life, and costs US$99.95. It will ship this fall.

Get up to six more hours of talk time using the Mophie Juice Pack.The Juice Pack sports a rechargeable lithium polymer battery in a case with a non-slip "soft touch" finish. Mophie claims the Juice Pack can enable an iPod to operate for another 350 hours of standby time, six hours of talk time on a 3G network, 12 hours of talk time on EDGE, six hours of Internet use on 3G, 8 hours of video playback or 28 hours of audio playback.

The Juice Pack incorporates power management circuitry to prevent it from being overcharged, short circuiting or overheating. It also integrates four LEDs that tell you the device's status. It connects to a host computer using a USB passthrough connector charging up.
