Promised downloadable content hitting November 13 with a few extras. By Stephany Nunneley, 10/28/2008
In addition to the left-handed genius, The Raconteurs will make their videogame debut with three songs off their second album, Consolers of the Lonely. You'll be able to play the following tracks by the band consisting of rockers Jack White (The White Stripes), Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence (The Greenhornes and Blanche), and Patrick Keeler (The Greenhornes): "Salute Your Solution," "Hold Up," and "Consoler of the Lonely." These songs will be available on November 20.
Both track packs will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace for 440 Microsoft Points ($5.50) and the PlayStation Store for $5.49 and each of The Raconteurs tracks will be sold as singles too for 160 Points ($2.00) and $1.99 respectively. Nintendo users will not be left out in the cold either -- the tracks will run 200 Wii Points each.
Guitar Hero: World Tour hit stores this past Sunday. It is nice to see Activision getting the DLC ball rolling right away, but they'll need to keep it up if they plan to compete with Rock Band and its seemingly endless supply of quality downloadable content.
