As unchanging as the hardware sales might appear to be this month, software tells a totally different story. After four big months as the number-one selling game, Call of Duty 4 has been replaced by Super Smash Bros. Brawl. That's not a huge surprise, but what is shocking is that immediately upon losing it's number one spot, Call of Duty 4 plummeted to ninth on this month's charts. Making impressive debuts alongside Brawl this month are Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 and Army of Two. Along with its hardware boost, the PSP had two major releases last month -- God of War: Chains of Olympus and Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core -- both of which landed squarely in the middle of the top ten. 2K Sports's MLB 2K8 hit a fly ball to eighth place, beating out competing March baseball release MLB 08: The Show.
