According to an ESRB rating dug up by One Last Continue (via Kotaku), it looks like Yasumi Matsuno's original Final Fantasy Tactics is bound for a re-release on the PlayStation 3 through the PlayStation Network.

As you can see above, the game has indeed been rated for the PlayStation 3, which seems to put it next in line for a PSN release following Final Fantasy VII. While the series lived on with the Tactics Advance games, many still consider Matsuno's original as the best... even if the original PlayStation version did have a translation so abysmal it made the story nearly incomprehensible.

Of course, a PSP version of the game called Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions was released just two years ago, with a completely redone translation. But hey, it never hurts to give gamers more options to play a great title, does it?
