Captain Kirk once said that, "Galloping around the cosmos is a game for the young." That rule doesn't seem to apply to espionage though, where the likes of Sean Connery, Solid Snake (yes, he was dealing with other stuff too) and, yes, Sam Fisher are still active despite getting a bit long in the tooth.

According to Videogaming247, Fisher is in his 50s around the time of Conviction. In other words, he's still young enough to be reasonably active in the spy circuit, but he isn't exactly fresh out of the academy.

"He's pretty old, actually," an unnamed developer said.

With Max Payne getting aged up as well, it seems old video game characters are in vogue. Makes you wonder who's next.

Look for Conviction on the PC and Xbox 360 in October.
