If you're eagerly anticipating the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network ports of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, you're going to have to wait just about another month. A new message has appeared on the Capcom Twitter account (via Joystiq) that puts the game's release in late July.

"MvC2 is not actually coming out on June 29, sorry guys. Not sure where that rumor came from, but it's going to be closer to the end of July," the message reads. Well, anonymous Capcom Twitterer, allow us to inform: The rumor originated from a Marvel Q1 financial report back in May, which stated the game would be released on June 29 -- that is, this Monday. But clearly (and unfortunately), there's no MvC2 to look forward to next week... unless you happen to own the Dreamcast, PS2, or Xbox versions, anyway.
