Company's most rugged handset for a low price
Yesterday, at Mobile Choice, we discussed the forthcoming announcement of the rugged, water, dust and shock resistant, mobile phone, the Nokia 3720 Classic, little realizing that the handset would make its official entrance today. But that is exactly what has happened, promising a summer release for a low price of €125.
According to Markku Suomi, vice president, Nokia Connect devices, "Whether using it at the beach or in a dusty construction site, the Nokia 3720 Classic has been specifically engineered to withstand the splashes, bumps and drops that come with the terrain. While the Nokia 3720 classic is tough on the outside, it is equally functional on the inside - a perfect choice for people who want a long-lasting and reliable mobile phone for any environment."
Based on the S40 UI and sporting a 2.2in TFT display with 16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels, the handset also includes Bluetooth 2.1, stereo FM radio with RDA, a 2.5mm headphone port, 2-megapixel camera with a LED flash and a 1GB microSD card in the box to boost the 20MB internal memory.
