Affordable handset becomes LG's best-selling touch-screen phone
It's enjoyed enormous success since its launch in November 2008, but now the LG Cookie has reached the impressive milestone of over five million sales across the globe. Selling in over 60 countries, the LG Cookie becomes the manufacturer's most successful touch-screen handset. As a means of stressing how proud they are of this fact, LG has broken down the sales into some impressive stats. 19,000 LG Cookies have been sold per day, 791 every hour and nine phones every minute. However, our favourite factoid is that if you laid every Cookie that has been sold end-to-end, then it would stretch over 60 times the height of Mount Everest.
The LG Cookie sports a three-megapixel camera, Stereo FM radio, MP3 player and accelerometer for auto-rotation.
