Though it's been rumored in the past, The Behemoth has confirmed that Castle Crashers is now headed to the PS3. As many of you know, the beat-em-up action game, which was awarded the best Xbox Live Arcade game award last year, was previously an Xbox 360 exclusive (where it sold quite nicely: over 900,000 copies).

Better yet, the PS3 version of Castle Crashers will be on display at the San Diego Comic-Con, which kicks off tomorrow. GameSpot got a chance to check it out ahead of the show and said that the port is pretty much exact. "As far as how the PS3 game looks and plays, the demo that we checked out was already running well and certainly looked to be on par with the Xbox 360 game," said the site. "The action is smooth and responsive, and the colorful visuals look as crisp as ever."

The Behemoth is being quiet on a release date at the moment but we'd expect it to land sometime this fall.
