After years of famine, fans of adventure games find themselves with a proverbial feast. On the heels of LucasArts releasing several offerings from their adventure catalog to Steam, Activision has decided to release several classic offerings of their own.

Valve has announced that both the Space Quest Collection and King's Quest Collection are now available on Steam. The latter collection contains King's Quest I-VII, while the latter feature Space Quest I-VI. That a lot of point-and-click.

King's Quest was Sierra's flagship franchise during the "golden age of adventure games," which ran from the mid-1980s to the early-1990s. Space Quest, meanwhile, follows the hapless Roger Wilco as he embarks on a number of adventures of his own (in space).

To celebrate their release, both collections are priced at $15 until July 30. After that, they'll jump back up to $20.
