iPhone dock also charges included memory pack

Kensington has announced a new iPhone charging dock that also includes an additional battery pack which can be charged alongside the phone.

What, another dock for iPhone and iPod? Well, yes, but this one has a twist. In addition to charging your iPhone, the Kensington Charging Dock will also charge the Mini Battery Pack that arrives with the dock. You just slot the battery pack under the iPhone to extend the useful life of the phone by three hours (if using the phone to talk) or six hours (for video use) or 30 hours (if you are listening to music only). The pack includes a detachable USB charging and syncing cable, according to the iPodNN website.

The Kensington Charging Dock, which can be used wiuth all flavours of iPhone and iPod, is currently available on pre-order for a final release in October. The price is $69.99.
