New design to be released into the UK
Samsung has announced a new messaging phone that features a sliding QWERTY keyboard.
Resembling the Nokia Surge 6760, the new Samsung B3310 handset includes a row of numerical keys positioned on the left of the chassis so that, when the QWERTY keyboard is opened up and used in landscape mode, the numeric keys suddenly take their position at the top of the keyboard, in a similar way to a standard PC keyboard, according to the Samsung Hub website.
The phone, which features a 2.1in screen stuffing in 176 x 220 pixels, supports GSM / GPRS connectivity and quick access to Facebook, Flickr and MySpace (services which are becoming increasingly popular within the mobile community, finding support over a variety of phones and operating systems). Other highlights include Bluetooth for wireless accessories, a music player and stereo FM radio for entertainment plus a built in camera rated at a basic 2-megapixels.
The B3310 is due to be released into the UK next month in a variety of colours including pink.
