Pick a colour, any colour - fashion on the cheap
As a stark contrast to the new N900 and N97 Mini, Nokia is due to release a new mobile phone that is due to be launched towards the budget sector and emerging markets.
To be known as the Nokia 2220, the new design is based on a sliding form factor. Probably its most noticeable feature is not so much its feature count - which is pretty short and largely unimpressive - but its startling colour range. They range from particular vivid blues, pinks, reds and greens that will turn heads, providing a fashion statement for very little money. Maybe beauty is, after all, skin deep.
The mobile is based upon Nokia's S40 Symbian user interface and arrives with a screen packing in 128 x 160 pixels, according to the Cellphone Beat website. Music fans will be happy to see the accompanying 3.5mm headphone socket while entertainment is added to via the inclusion of a FM radio. Internet fans will be able to utilize the Opera Mini browser and an included VGA camera is featured.
