With a slow shutter speed and a steady hand or tripod you can create a multitude of intentionally blurred pictures. When properly used this effect will lend a creative dream-like approach to your photos. Instructions Difficulty: Moderate Things You'll Need Camera with adjustable shutter and aperture Steps 1 Step One Start by finding a moving subject that is in a meduim to low light setting. 2 Step Two Click to enlarge Then adjust your shutter speed to a slow setting. Something in the range of 1/15 to 1/4 would be best. This will force your shutter to stay open longer and let in more light. Any movement within the camera's view while the shutter is still open will appear blurred in the photo. 3 Step Three Click to enlarge Now set your aperture to f/8 4 Step Four Click to enlarge Attach your camera to a tripod if you are going to take a picture of an object that is in motion and only want that object blurred. 5 Step Five Click to enlarge Take the camera off of the tripod and use your hands to slightly move the actual camera while the shutter is open if you want the entire overall image to be blurred.
