How to Hook Up an External Hard Drive

Step 1:
Make sure all parts of the cord are connected.Plug the external hard drive (EHD) into the power outlet with the power cord.

Step 2:
The USB cord.Plug the USB cord into the EHD and into your computer. Turn the power switch on the EHD (if it has one).

Step 3:
You can use Turn your computer on. Your EHD may receive updates automatically from your computer. You can view your EHD by finding it on the "My Computer" button.
